Description
Shell elongate, subrectangular, falcate or trapezoid, anterior end short and rounded, posterior end elongate, truncate, umbonal ridge angular and commonly strongly defined, surface marked by strong concentric lines of growth and by fine radial costellae, lateral sulcus extends slightly backward from umbones to basal margin, hinge marked by narrow, elongate ligament groove, lunule and escutcheon well defined, internal features and hinge unknown. [COOPER, 1931.]
