Description
Strongly prosocline, commonly produced posteriorly, hinge with central resilifer, as in Aviculopecten, LV ornamented by widely spaced intercalate costae, RV smooth or marked by concentric fila, inner ostracum crossed-lamellar aragonite, outer ostracum calcite with square prisms in RV, apparently structureless in LV.
